MESSTHETICS - U.K. D.I.Y. and indie post-punk 1977-1984:
The Messthetics 100-series are regional compilations on regular CD with 24-page booklets (16 on #101f), color images of the singles, photos, extensive liner-notes…and bonus MP3 tracks (except on #102). We're adding bands from the rest of the alphabet, folks we missed the first time 'round, plus never-released and cassette-only material.

Messthetics #1–8 CD-R compilations We aren't trying to make anyone buy the same music twice, but in case you need a massive and instant D.I.Y. fix (and who doesn't?) our long-running black-and-white CD-R series features 158 of DIY’s finest moments (100 of which are still unavailable elsewhere). Most of these songs WILL reappear on the fancy Messthetics 100-series (someday), but just 58 of them are reissued so far* (there's only one of them on #103, for instance) so we're offering two deals: (1) Lowered prices on the individual CD-R volumes, and (2) The Instant Messthetics Record Collection: all 8 individual CD-Rs, 150+ songs, for $56.00

*FYI, tracks from the CD-R series Messthetics #1-#8 re-appear on the conventional CD series thusly:
15 of the 22 songs on 'Greatest Hits' are from the CD-R series, as are 7 of 27 on Messthetics #101, 10 of 23 songs on #102. Just one song is duplicated on #103. Then only 7 (of 30) on #104, 6 (of 33) on #105, 6 (of 28) on #106, 3 (of 30) on #107 and and 2 (of 30) from Messthetics Greatest Hiss. Over time 50-60% of the rest will also be re-reissued, but probably a third will not.
